The day started out like any other day at Borders #1, the Manga people (a genre of book that is read from back to front and upside-down) bought their coffees and proceeded to read their comics in peace. It was a slow day so only a few random customers meandered through the book sections, when a wiry haired woman walked in with a pretty little blonde girl.
They didn’t say anything to anyone as they marched into the café. The unsuspecting Manga people as well as myself continued the day to day, just as I finished a chocolate javacula (frozen coffee), the little girl stood up on a chair, then on top of the tallest table in the café and began shouting the word of the Lord.
“You are all sinners!” She screamed pointing in the faces of the Manga people, who were very unversed in human interaction so this must have been quite a shock. The little girl’s face red with fury or embarrassment I am unsure.
Her Mom or Mother figure as they looked nothing alike, stood around the table, protecting her like a bear. The woman was glaring at the sea of people as if the words were coming from her mouth.
“AND GOD SAID TO ME TO COME TO ALL OF YOU AND MAKE YOU SEE THE ERROR OF YOUR WAYS.” The little girl spat at the air.
My boss and a few other managers attempted to stop the bear woman from allowing her daughter to do this, not only was it extremely uncomfortable, but you can bet had the girl fallen Borders would have paid for it.
“You can’t do this here.” My boss yelled over the little girl.
“Sinner.” The girl pointed in her face, her Mom began pushing my boss back.
“We will have you both arrested.” She said calmly.
The woman turned to her daughter, took the child in her arms and walked outside where they yelled at passerby’s about the sins they had committed.
Judge not less ye be judged.
